How old were you when you came out for the 1st time (if you've come out)?

I was 18.
Later would have started to feel late. Earlier wouldn't have been ideal. Uni was the best place to, for me.

 

23. This past May I came out to this guy I didn't really take seriously online.

 

I was 16 when I told my best friend, then I told another friend 9 months later, and another friend 8 months after that, then I came out publicly 4 months after that. So right after I turned 16 I came out to the first person, and right before I turned 18 I came out publicly

17. Probably the worst possible time I could have come out, but I'm still glad I did. The longer I waited the harder it would have been, and although coming out at that stage caused a lot of problems, I wouldn't have met most of the amazing people I know today.

 

I was 22 or 23. It was january or february 2011.

 

I think I was about 15 when I first came out to a friend as pansexual, and I'm honestly not sure when (or if!) I came out as genderqueer specifically. Probably some time between ending secondary school and starting at college.

(That one's a lot blurrier because I can't quite remember when "Yay, cosplaying as guys is great!" turned into "Hey guys, this is my crossplay alter ego!" and then into "So this may be slightly more than a costume thing. Um.")

Wow! So proud of all of you! I came out at 69, after a lifetime of hiding...

 

I was 14, almost 15, when I came out for the first time to my best friends within 20 minutes of each other.

 

16 when I came out to my mother as bisexual; 17 when I came out this year as transgender.

Just recently, I sorta-came out to my parents and brother, but they didn't know what I was talking about. Then again, my orientation statement was a vague, "I'm ace."

I believe 17 but might've been 16. I don't quite remember. I came out to a friend's girlfriend. Yeah she totally didn't tell everyone immediately...

 

I was, and still am, 13! I've been told "You're too young to really know" but I've been like this since I was in 5th or 4th grade, when I first started thinking about sexuality. Before then, me, nor anyone else, thought about this stuff, although I always thought about guys and stuff.
