I usually keep mine short. Once it starts touching my ears it starts bugging me. My hair grows rather slow so I only get it cut about every two months.
Usually, I wait until it's so long and messy that a biologist might try to capture me, thinking I might be the elusive Big Foot... Hair cuts are not my favorite activity, so I tend to have it cut back quite a ways, and then put off a return trip as long as possible. At present growth rate, it seems like it's maybe twice a year, although it should probably be at least 3 times as for looking passably decent at all times. It was 3 times/year typically when I was a teenager: at the start of the school year, at Christmas, and then during spring vacation.
Usually 4-6 weeks, although if I don't have time it gets to maybe 7 (I've been more on top of it the last few months). I really prefer it closer to 4-5 because I don't like it when it looks untended.
Every couple weeks to about a month. Sometimes I'll get lazy about it, though my breaking point is when it begins to curl against my neck or under my ears.
I haven't had a hair cut in five years. People tell me it makes me look like a girl (Am I supposed to care?) and my dad says i have to cut it if i don't start a rock band and get famous.
i hate going to salons, so i cut mine myself a lot. the second any part of my hair starts to piss me off, i'll cut it. every once in a while, i let it grow, and go to get a haircut as soon as i start to hit mullet territory. so i'd say every 3 months or so?
I wear my hair longerish ;-; And typically I just cut my hair when a) my bangs are too far into my eyes that I start bumping into walls or b) when i feel like my hair is just too long for life ;-; I cut my hair myself, so its really just a matter of when i feel like i NEED to do it.. and when i actually feel like doing it xD I dont cut it all too often honestly.
Long hair, don't care. I, too, am Asian with full and thick hair. I love it, I live it, but I spend a lot of money on shampoo.
I just got my head re-shaved last Wednesday and I probably will get it trimmed on Saturday. ---------- Post added 26th Aug 2014 at 11:25 PM ---------- I feel this so much. Last year, I took off all my clothes, sat down on a footstool in my bathtub, and shaved my head just hours before the homecoming dance. LOL
I do self trims to clean the end and keep the length at bay. But I haven't had a hair cut since late 2005. My hair is to the tramp stamp zone and I get complimented on the condition of it regularly. I like my hair. When I had short hair, 4 weeks was the limit.
