How long did you lurk before you joined EC?

Same here, went right in!

 

It was about a year (most of 2010). I didn't visit very often during that time though; maybe once every few weeks or so.

 

Like a month

It's important to know the dynamic of these things before diving in lol.

 

about 3 months because I didnt want to admit to myself I was gay

 

This is literally the exact situation I was in last night when I found EC. And after I made my account I sent three texts out, two to my best friends and one to my younger cousin, all lesbians basically saying "Hey, I've found the holy grail of Gay Communication." :eusa_danc

 

The day I found EC I joined, seemed perfect for me. Guess I was right!!!

 

As soon as I found the EC I joined right away, which really helped A LOT. Since initially joining though I've been lurking more lately, just too overwhelmed at the moment.

THIS. Literally every question about my sexuality I put into Google took me here, but it took a few weeks for me to actually make an account. Since then I've gotten so attached to this place. :icon_bigg

Few days. I would've joined on my first day but I was scared my Mum/Mom might find out...

 

Same happend to me. Lurked for about a day, signed up, posted maybe ten times, and didn't post again until a few weeks ago.

 

I decided just a few days ago that I should join a lgbt forum. So I went to google, and after looking at this site for about 2 or 3 minutes I joined. (Well, it took me a bit come come up with a username.) Thus here I am!

I kinda wish I was more paranoid about this sort of stuff. I keep leaving atheist and lgbt related threads and stuff open when I have people over... I know they have to of noticed. I mean one was for some reason on my bookmarks bar. >.>

Don't worry too much about the past. I'm glad to have you here now. Of course, I suppose this doesn't mean much, since I just got here and don't really know you. xD

Lurked for a little bit to see if I wanted to join and then I did!

 

Didn't lurk - I thought I posted right after joining, but I checked and learned that it took me a few days to post something. After that, I became distracted by my other online activities for a long time. I've been out since 1978 and my needs are in other areas, but I want to support this site by contributing when I can, so I'm back.

 

Thirty seconds or so, haha! EC just struck me as a great site, and I wanted to join as quickly as possible.
