    Hi,

I am new to a this took me until my grand old age of 42 to realise that i am bisexual. I can't come out to my family or husband as they just won't understand. Does not help as i live with bad anxiety. Would like to meet like minded people.

Welcome to EC. You are definitely not alone as there are many members here who are in similar circumstances as your own. Take a look around at the forums and feel free to ask questions.

    You’re welcome.

There is an LGBT Later in life forum, a good place to get started. At times I have found it helpful to look through some of the older post and have found some that align well with my personal experience.

When you are ready make a post or ask any questions feel free to start a new post.

Hi @Anxhelm and welcome to EC.

I’m sorry to hear about your current situation. I realised my sexuality when I was in my late twenties and in a long term heterosexual relationship. It was very isolating, but talking to people in similar positions here on EC really helped. I hope that you find EC to be supportive and helpful too.

Welcome to EC, @Anxhelm! You're certainly not alone in coming out later in life, and while I am a bit younger myself, there are plenty in the LGBT Later in Life forums who have walked a very similar path to your own. I'm sorry it feels so overwhelming and frightening. Are you certain they wouldn't understand, or is it the anxiety making you feel this way?

Either way, there's no pressure to come out until you're ready. If/when that day comes, perhaps you'll have found all the insight you need from here to help you explain it in a way that they will understand.
