The Movie is Origins, I highly recommend it. Sci-fi Anime, slow pace like Ghibli, animation is gorgeous.

That makes sense. It would be hard and depressing to not be open in a place so open to LGBT. I'm in the closet so it's hard that I can't tell my con friends about my sexuality, when I know they would fully embrace me. Maybe you can go by yourself some time? Like a secret, covert mission :3

I feel you. I don't feel comfortable cosplaying. When I did cosplay, I cosplayed characters that weren't about being beautiful or cool. I picked goofy/weird characters and I had so much more fun doing that and everyone loved my outfit!

its pretty much the word for costume play. you dress as a character out of anime, movies or games. we wear wigs, do makeup and sew costumes and just hang out and take photos.

Oh ok we have comic con here so people would dress up as say doctor who or storm troopers etc. Always been meaning to go to that but it always seems to clash with something else. Sounds fun though.

Cosplaying is amazing, you find a character you absolutely love you dress up as them and you go to conventions like onicon and hangout with other fans, usually its a blast, I'm cosplaying as sora at onicon on Saturday next weekend

I hear ya, I'm socially awkward too, and an introvert, and I don't like noisy places lolol, but I like cons still. Have you thought about voulenteering at the cons? Or if you do art, maybe artist alley? I like having a "job" when at cons. Then I have a group to hang with and a sort of homebase to run back too

They can be fun, anime clubs usually watch anime together! I had one at my college and the local library.

That's a shame, there must be other people that like it too near where you live.

It is fun! It has the same vibe of a carnival, least that's how I feel. Lots of good cheer, lots of awesome cosplays, lots of cool stuff to buy, art, talks from guests and industry folk.

That's understandable. Working a con can be stressful, so if you rather relax that's good

I know a lot of artists. It's hard for any artist now a days to get attention on social media, unless they have a strong following already or super socially active in popular stuff.

Okay :3 feel free to post here or start a new thread ♡

I approve of this cosplaying as Sora! I hope you have fun at Onicon, anything in particular you're excited to do or see?

Its really hard on social media these days :frowning2:
No matter if cosplay or art I always hope to find friends through it but everybody just leaves a like and runs. And the popular ones are too busy with themselves. I feel like a old hag like me cant really do much anymore at this point... never gonna get any internet popularity, wish I would tho tbh. Im rly bad with this stuff x.x

Have any of you any interest in LARP? I don't do it but I have a friend who does and she loves it and has met lots of friends through it.

Tbh LARP goes a step too far for me and I find it a bit awkward and weird xD Also I think that goes more in the direction of Middle Ages fans and such, Im all about the Anime^^
