Hello, thank you for your concern and encouragement. I was doing surprisingly well a few days ago and was half convinced that I had my SA under control. Though, today wasn't as great. I was confronted about attending the meetings that they have at work and it was a nightmare trying to keep myself under control. Throughout the day I kept having small panic attacks and anxiety coupled with my face getting red. Because of that, I am dreading tonight and trying to keep myself together. I will probably skip the meetings for now.

    Aloha, Satoru

Okay, you've got the better part of a week behind you and only a few more days left until Friday. Try to get yourself back to that place where you started the week from; you did really well for the first part-- let's see if you can recreate that!

Good luck at the doctor's office. Remember, the more open you are with him the better it will be. You may want to write a list of the important points you want to make with him; don't try and solve everything in the first visit, but make sure your list includes the priority issues.

Let us know how you're doing!

Thank you. I've been trying to think about what made that day great since then and trying to find my inner peace. Coincidentally, I actually did make a list of important points since I have a bad memory. I will let you know once I go to the office.

Ok, so I went to the doctor and he prescribed me with medication that I can pick up sometime tomorrow. I also got the shot and the second nurse was caring about the fact that I had scars on my right arm. The first nurse had to point out that my blood pressure was abnormal and say if I was nervous... It really didn't feel like my doctor really cared. It felt like he was just trying to prescribe something to me and send me off. I literally had to pull information out of him. At least I have a number to call about counseling though. It a was an OK visit overall.

    Hi Satoru

OK visit overall is good. First step accomplished!

Get your Rx filled tomorrow and start on your meds. Call the counseling number on Monday and set up an appointment.

You are on your way to feeling better.

I am proud of you and happy for you!

Please continue to let us know how we can support you.

And have a good weekend. You deserve it!'

    With aloha,
    Milan

P.S. The introspection about what made that great day great is worthwhile. Knowing what creates inner peace is an important learning. If you have time this weekend give it some thought.

    Thank you for the support.

I wasn't able to call yesterday since my cellphone expired, but I plan to today.

I am currently taking Escitalophram and have only taken it once so far. I have noticed a slight difference in myself and it frightens me a little bit. I hope to not be on these for long period of time. I kinda worry that this might affect my creativity and pleasure in doing things. Sometimes I like to write and my mood and feelings dictate what is written.

Based on my experience it takes a while to get used to the difference.

Keep writing. Don't stop. I am also in a creative field and found that the meds, overall, improved my effectiveness and therefore increased my creative drive. Of course mood and feelings influence what we create, but we also have to look at the bigger picture-- our lives as a whole. So give the medication regimen a chance before you make any assessments.

Hang in there, my friend. You are making real progress here.

Ok, thank you; I will try to give it more time before I make any judgements.

You're a real trooper. I am happy you are making this progress!

Did you get your counseling appointment yet? (Don't mean to nag, but you should get that in the works just in case there is a wait time for the counselor to see you.)

    Hang in there guy.

    Ah hello.
To be honest, I was being a bit lazy coming her to respond; My apologies though... But I was able to make an appointment for next week hopefully. I keep up on my medicine and try to think that this will be over soon.
Thank you again for caring even though I have been negligent.

For an update, everything is getting a little better. I had my first appointment and we didn't get to discuss too much given it being the first. Hopefully I can have the motivation back to go to college. I don't want to be a cashier forever.
