One of the aides in the nursing home saw my rainbow bracelet yesterday. She asked if I was family. I told her yes. How about you?
Yes. I have two salmon/pink-colored shirts. My sense of style has helped out me. I don't wear particularly tight clothes, but my shirts are more snug than the average t-shirt. Usually, people just gather an implicit idea about me. They don't explicitly ask, "are you part of the family?" They just assume. Which is fine by me.
My clothes, which are usually pretty unisex, and my hair which is short, sometimes make people think I'm a lesbian. They out me as something I'm not, but I don't really care. It is as true as thinking I'm straight, so...
My clothes are just regular male stuff. But I'm surprised no one has noticed against my bracelets (you can see one of them on my profile pic and it used to be on my avatar). They are in the bi pride colours. I guess they still aren't that well known or recognised. Just like bi people. Happy days
It made me feel good that she said something. She gave me a hug like she is family too. I'm not hiding but not advertising so much either.(*hug*) ---------- Post added 2nd May 2014 at 01:25 PM ---------- I first heard that phrase in The Bird Cage movie.
Ha ha; me too. But, also a pretty big-fast motorcycle; nothing very (stereotypically) "gay" about that.
