    Hey guy. I'm grounded for the next month or so for slipping and punching a hole in the wall.....
    I'll sneak on when I can.....and I'd better be missed!!!

    Brett, why did you go and do that? Maybe if you offer to fix the wall, your parents will let you off for good behavior. :slight_smile:

    Well first of all it was a big accident....I was runing to go upstairs and I slipped on the tile and crashed into the wall.....
    Plus I'm being forced to fix the wall anyways :frowning2:

    I think fixing the wall is fair. It was your mistake so doing this to put it right seems reasonable.

    If you do a good job of that, and do it willingly and without complaining, then maybe they'll let you off or shorten the grounding.

    They grounded you for an ACCIDENT? That is so not fair!!! :rolleyes:

    Are you made of steel or something? How can you crash into a wall and break it? :S

    But yeah, perhaps they grounded you because you were running up the stairs or something. It's still kind of unfair though... but if your parents are forgiving, they may do what Paul suggested.

    No fair! I didn't get grounded when I punched a wall on purpose and put a hole through it!

    Mind you, I'm 19, and my parents still don't know about it anyway. Posters for the win!

    If it's timber frame and plasterboard (as internal walls on most new houses here are) it's not difficult to make a hole in it. :frowning2:

    Anyway if the wall had been harder it would have hurt more. :bang:
