    Hey guys! I'm starting to get into the world of metal music! Anygood bands y'all recommend?
    I'd like to say that I don't like metalcore from what I've heard cuz its too depressing for me!

    I mean there are like a hundred million different kinds of metal!

    Sorry I'm not being helpful...umm...what is it exactly that you LIKE about metal music?

    Is it guitar solos? Fast music? Memorable tunes? Kick-ass drums?

    Oh my! I am literally OBSESSED with Phil Anselmo<3!
    And Slipknot is pretty good!
    I think I like more deathmetal along the lines of devourment..so like fast paced and pretty aggressive nothing peppy!

    Bolded – that can change :grin: I can recommend checking out bands such as While She Sleeps, Hundredth, Being as an Ocean, Architects... stuff like that. Even though it borders on hardcore and isn't super metal.

    I'll have to disagree with you about Metalcore. It's all good though!

    Death Metal is my fave type of Metal. It's an obsession. Devourment are sick. I'll try to keep this short. Try some Brutal, Old School, and Technical Death Metal;

    I agree... I haven't heard their new stuff though. I enjoyed their early Death Metal. Sabaton is one of my fave Metal bands in the history of ever. Everyone should try listening to them!
