Okay, so I went out with a guy a few days ago. As a potential friend, even though is sexuality is, um, ambiguous. Anyway, I had a really good time, we have loads in common, lots of similar interests, etc. So the next day I texted him to see if he wanted to go get lunch. He wrote back with what I'd say is a pretty pathetic excuse for saying no (something along the lines of, "sorry, I'm washing my hair"), saying we should try to touch base next week. I'm pretty sure I just got rejected. Any advise? :help:
Would you really want to be with someone who is not that into you in the first place, and gives petty excuses to avoid spending time with you? Maybe you can just.. Enjoy yourself. You don't need anyone for that.
Fair enough. I guess I just had/have a crush. Time to put some distance between us and hope for the best.
I would give it another shot, but just one more shot. I mean I've made some not so great excuses for no reason. Sometimes I just didn't feel like hanging out in general that day and it was nothing against the person. Plus did you just me him? With some new friends people may not be comfortable hanging out all the time at first. Maybe every week or two is more his liking at first. Just give him time and if he doesn't give you the time of day next week or something, just move on. If you continue to be friends, don't let his antics become a habit is all I'm saying.
I agree with Lone Dragon that you should give him another chance. He offered to meet next week, so try to set up a concrete time/day.
I guess I could do it. I don't want to take a risk, though, but then again, if I want friends, let alone a boyfriend, it's something I'm going to have to do. I just hope he's gay.
There is a saying that "rejection is Gods protection". You will find someone else if things don't work out the way you hope with this person..
