I wrote this long post about all this and my chrome crashed. :tears: Well anyways

"Recent studies have documented that gay men and lesbians are more likely to be left-handed (or ambidextrous) than heterosexuals are. Also, gay men are more likely to have an excess of older brothers, compared to heterosexual men—a phenomenon termed 'the fraternal birth order effect'. The most recent studies that look at both factors at the same time suggest that the fraternal birth order effect is true for right-handed gay men but not for left-handed gay men – that is, older brothers increase a man's odds of being gay only for right-handers." Here is a quote from BBC, simply stating having older brothers only applies to righties. Along with that the site also states there is a huge difference between the amount of bi people (12%) and hetero, or gays (both about 8%). The numbers for females are a bit more scattered, but the large gap still proves the point, bi (16%), lesbian (12%), and straight (8%). (sex ID)

Hair whorl has no effect on if you’re LGBT or not. The study, which was started by Klar (2004) and that sparked the myth, was severely inaccurate, and later revisited on two different accounts proving it wrong. “In both studies, the observer determined whether the whorl was clockwise or counterclockwise without knowing whether the subject was gay or straight, which may be an important difference between these studies and that of Klar.” (Hair Whorl: The Myth)

The index finger of men is very complicated, whereas ONLY gay men with several older brothers had shorter index fingers, compared to most lesbians, regardless of siblings, having shorter index fingers. (A finger on sexuality) As stated in Sex ID only right-handed people were affected by having older brothers, only right-handed people with older brothers have significantly shorter index fingers. (Sex ID)

To explain the phenomenon of having a gay twin, and a straight twin with the same DNA, is epigenetics. Epigenetics is a branch of genetics, whereas traits are passed on by family, the one exception to this is epigenetics has epimarks, or switches. Epimarks are little switches can be on or off which is determined by set things, for example your biological gender. It is thought that when a twin turns out gay it is because an epimark, related to the mother, was not erased, and if a girl is lesbian it is thought that an epimark from the father is not erased. The gay twin is thought to have the epimark not fully erased, when the straight twin the mark was erased. (Scientists uncover possible sources of homosexuality)
I believe this is a start on learning the truth, because obviously there is many things left out, and a LOT more to learn.

lol So in the original study, they knew the subject's sexual orientation before checking their hair whorl? Sure isn't confirmation bias or anything. >.>

    And you're welcome, Andstillimhere.

EDIT: Looked at the actual article unsuspecting posted. Sooo...did Klar even confirm the subjects' sexual orientations? Just sounded like he went to a place that gay men might be and then went to a place that straight men might be and recorded their hair whorls. That's just a poorly done study.

Karl didn't know their sexuality at all and was using a mall (which would have more straights) as a control and the gay beach as the test group. The other groups knew their sexuality but the specific observer did not. Read up on the article it's really cool  (wow never seen so many of my own grammar mistakes in my last post im so sorry... XD)

Yeah, I didn't read it until after posting. How his study wasn't immediately laughed out of existence is beyond me.
