    Never been to a gay bar myself..will admit its partly out of fear, and the fact I basically don't drink (plus there's nothing close to me). That said, last year I came close to going to one after attending an event...but due to time limits couldn't

    On the age thing thats been mentioned here... for me i think the ideal age range would be my age down to 5 years younger (but thats 'ideal' LOL not something set in stone)
