gay guy: hey grandma, i wanted to tell you something. i'm gay.
grandma: is that the one where you don't eat meat?
gay guy: no grandma, it means that i like other men.
grandma: oh good. it's important to eat lots of meat.

When my 17yr old brother was about 6 he told people he wanted to marry his big sister when he grew up. He didn't understand marriage or it's concept or how weird and illegal marrying your sister is. He was 6, enough said.
Then when I finally came out to him properly he was about 14/15. I said to him that I was 100% a lesbian and liked girls. Then I asked him how he felt about it and his response was "I'm sweet with it. Except now it makes me and you getting married plain awkward"
Haha. Definately my favourite response of all. I'm also proud that he seems to have inherited my Sense of humour indeed

Came out too my Mum and she was fine, I already knew she would be.
But after having had a longish conversation she then proceeded too tell about her having an attraction too a female colleague. Eurrrghh how awkward I appreciated the support but that top it......

I find it quite ironic really, and the kicker is my father came out at around fifty-five so it not really surprising that I have the same sex attraction is it!!!!!!! I didn't stand a chance did I!!! ha ha ha

There was a guy at school who obviously had a crush on me, and I wanted to turn him away. So, while we were walking around outside (alone), I told him I was bi. His eyes went wide and he said, "Holy crap, even better!"
Well, that plan backfired. I was hoping that it would be similar to when I came out to another guy who had had a massive crush on me the year before – and likely still had a crush on me then. When I told him, he just skirted several metres away from me and stared at me like I'd slapped him. Unfortunately, he wasn't turned off by that, either. Just my luck, eh?

This is only "funny" in the sense of being unusual, but...

I came out of the closet to my father a few days ago...except that I didn't. My father suffers from Selective Reality Syndrome, a psychological glitch which causes one to suffer immediate amnesia regarding information that contrasts with one's existing beliefs and desires.

I had always hoped that nothing would change upon my father learning that I am not heterosexual; I had not expected that literally nothing would change, including his beliefs that I will one day fall in love with and get married to a male. :sigh:

My brother said, "Oh my God, no! I don't want to be the weird family at Thanksgiving with the lesbian daughter!"

    Mean but hilarious haha.

I told my friend Sarah, who graduated from my program a couple years ago and worked with my friend and former crush, Nick.

Me: I'm in a great new relationship
Her: Oh nice! Who is she?
    Me: It's not a she...
Her: No way! I never would have guessed (pause) You had a crush on Nick, didn't you?
Me: Oh shit! (bursts out laughing) Yeah I totally did.

I came out to a friend whom I forgot I hadn't come out to, and she hugged me and got her hair in my mouth. It was rather appalling, but sweet. (not physically, her hair did not have a dulcet tone)

So this is about a friend coming out. We all knew he was gay. I am not a big fan of stereotypes but, I haven't seen a more prefect stereotype before. I mean this kid must have smelled like rainbows (seriously he wore perfume to school). Perfect fashion and skinny jeans shaved legs. (I know all of that is a bad stereotype but it was so prefect it was funny)

He: Guys I have something to say.
Us: What were not telling you the test questions
He: I just figured out that I like guys.
Us: So what your saying is you thought you were straight before?
    He: What do you mean?
Us: Did you ever look in the mirror?
He: Yea to make sure my skinny jeans matched my v-neck.
Us: .... (Then lots of laughing and accepting)

I'm sitting at lunch with my "friend" in 6th grade.
Me: What would you do if there was a possible chance of me being gay?
Friend: I wouldn't let you stay the night at my house, that's for sure.
Me: Well...I think I might be...
Friend: *Runs to group of girls and starts gossiping*
    Me: Oh, shit. -_-

Mom: yes. You have dirty dishes in your room and clothes on the floor!
    Me: *chuckles awkwardly/in relief*
Mom: you'll never get a girlfriend if you act like a slob, you know

Not immediately after I came out to him, but while I was being stressy about my gayness.

T- Storm, you're ignoring the best part about coming out of the closet.
    Me- ...what's that?
T- Now we can talk about hot girls together!

It's almost a matter of fact that (straight) highschool boys are turned on by the possibility of female on female sex, never mind a threesome including themselves.
Should have seen that response coming. :icon_wink

My mum was just happy that 1. I wouldn't have to deal with being pregnant and 2. I wouldn't have to deal with men (she didn't completely understand the panromantic thing but meh she had a good reaction)

i went to a party a couple of weeks ago and when my friend introduced me to one of the hosts ( a lady) and said i was just coming out in my 40's, the host said," about damn time" and smiled.

    that was pretty cool
