We have your application, and you can expect usually between 2-3 weeks to process it from when it was received. With an increasing number of applications and an already small staff team, it takes a while to get everyone to review them. You'll hear back from us either way though.
Moderators! Satisfy the curiosity of the masses! Or don't if it's against a privacy policy. But then tell us you can't tell us do to a privacy policy!
From my knowledge, yes, in the event that whatever reason they regected you no longer applies. Otherwise there is not a point. However, In the event that the reason they rejected you still stands, you would thusly be rejected once again and yelled at for wasting people's time. So yes, in base.
We never yell at anyone for wasting our time. If someone reapplies immediately after being turned down, without having addressed any of the issues we raise in the notice, then we'd immediately decline it, and (again) explain what needs to happen for reconsideration, but we don't really get mad at members. The full-member process is all about keeping the community safe, and minimizing disruption, and doing our best to ensure that those who are trusted with the ability to send private messages and use the chat room can do so responsibly and in accordance with our Code of Conduct. Our goal is to continue to see the community grow, and to help the community retain the character and supportive nature that it's had since its inception.
