    Funny enough transitioning socially is a little difficult at times. I find myself calling my best female friend who is a biological woman. I find myself using words like "dude" or my personal favorite "dick".

    Dick is by far my most favorite word. You can call anyone a dick. When i didn't get along with Mama Diva i used to say to my brother. Man! Why is Mom being a dick! Or if i had company and my dog was nibbling at their pants because she didn't like someone. I would say "Brownie! STOP being a dick!"

    If someone called me a dick i would NEVER get a offended. I would start laughing my ass off.

    For instance in a dialogue let's call my BFF Stephanie.

    Me: Hey Steph!!! Yo Steph!!!!! DUDE!!!!!!
    (Then i get her attention)

    Steph: Hey (Calls me by birth name). (I get mad and i look at her.)
    Me: DUDE! I am not a man tonight, I am in my gurl mode! Don't be a dick!
    Steph: I'm sorry. I'm my bad. (She's a pothead she when she forgets, she forgets) :/

    I dunno, even as a guy, I always preferred clever or cute euphemisms to the four-letter variety. Maybe why they never upgraded my man card from the paper version. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    OK, guys, I hate to say it, but I didn't go. :eusa_doh: Some of my coworkers who have known this guy for a while told me they weren't going because there would likely be use of illegal drugs (and not just pot, or I would still go), and I did not want to get caught up in that. Plus, I ran out of my medication which is for my social anxiety and depression and won't be able to get it until tomorrow. The pharmacy lady said it was out of stock, and I was just thinking, "How the fuck is it not in stock?! You guys are a fucking pharmacy!" I wasn't going to know anyone at the party since everyone I knew that was going backed out. I dunno. I'm a little putz about going to parties anyway.

    Also, it's probably a little late to ask, but do I get an extension on the due date for my homework? :grin:

    Damn, not going to parties because I'm worried there will be drugs? Asking for forgiveness from my teachers? It's like I'm back in college. :lol:

    Seriously, though, why can't people just have a party without copious amounts of booze and drugs? What happened to sitting around playing cards or whatever? I don't understand. For the record, I still have all my beer, too. I didn't drink any. I had to work in the morning.

    I also recommend watching guy code on MTV. Great show if you want to learn to be a guy.

    Aw, what a shame, JJ. Although totally understandable, IMO. Not all that comfortable about being around any drug use heavier than pot myself, and wouldn't feel at ease about being around so much alcohol consumption without the safety of having other friends there. Guess I'm kind of a Girl Scout, lol.

    Good Call. trust your instincts. if you lived around here i'd have you over for coffee or a fire among friends in the back yard. my idea of a party, can't do drugs for personal reasons and i don't drink much.
