Feeling old, lonely and like my life is basically over

    Since I've traveled most of my life I have a mobile perspective. I would like to sail to the following two destinations to complete my map. I learned how to sail in San Diego and I have day tripped New Smyrna Beach's coast so I have two of the southern corners of the U.S. accomplished. Winter Harbor Maine would be my next port I'd like to sail to. After that I want to do what I consider the journey of a life time. That is transit the Panama Canal and coast cruise to Noah Bay Washington. Then I could say I have been to the four corners of the country I so proudly defended for 22 years. I'd like to make it happen before age 65 but I might be able to push it further if I had to (health permitting of course) That's my Idea of retirement.

    I’ve just read the all the messages between Evgeny and Steve, the respect, advice given was so helpful to me, and I could also see their friendship develop.
    This why I read and return to EC each day, To read these wonderful stories of support between the members.helps me through my day.

    I’m from Sydney .
    I’m very closeted gay man who also happens to be married.
    I return here most days so that I can be amongst friends.
    I don’t often post, because being so far in the closet, I don’t feel I have the life experience tp post.

    So true Steve, being a member of this forum makes me feel like I am part of our community.
    All the contributors are so helpful and kind. Everyone seems to care for each other, a genuine empathy for each of us
