I just soft launched my relationship on a social media app all my homophobic family has, I didn't caption it or explain anything I just posted a picture of me and my girlfriend cuddling at the beach making funny faces. Some may ask questions and some may not. I don't want to hide my relationship and after her picking me up and quickly driving off when my dad pulled up to the house I just don't want to hide our relationship even if that means being kicked out the house. If he forbids me from seeing her ill pack up and leave. If he says literally anything disrespectful or hurtful I'll leave and stay with a friend for a bit. I'm scared but I know my girlfriend will be worth it. This is more for me tho because I'm sick of being scared of my dad or particular family members. If I get a message I'll just tell them it's my girlfriend and anything they say I'll leave them on read.
Congratulations on taking that brave step. I really hope that your family find it within themselves to be happy for you and realise the happiness your girlfriend brings to you. Please keep us updated on what happens and that you are ok.
This is incredibly brave, and I hope whatever happens, you and your girlfriend will be okay. Stay safe. <3
