Well 3, and 4 are awful. I never saw Returns or the new one. Probably the first. You know, the one called Superman.
Returns made subtle references in comparison between Jesus and Superman, but Man of Steel made a blatant and very clear comparison between Superman and Jesus by: * SPOILER ALERT * By putting him in a church before Zod's initial invasion and a priest talked to him about the words of Jesus and Clark looked up at the Jesus statue and got inspired to do the right thing. -_-
Whaaat? That's spitting in the face of the creators. He was written by Jewish people. Many of the Kryptonian names were Jewish. Plus we all know his story. Moses with aliens.
Basically, and to be honest, Jerry Seigel and Joel Shuster did reference not only the mythos of Jesus in their stories but many other famous strong men of myth. Which they did in Returns, they did alot in Returns that I love, but Man of steel just ruined him, I'm very weary of a future JLA movie.
