Facial hair on Men

I don't like too much of it, but yeah. Some facial hair is good if it's well groomed. Though I definitely do appreciate a well shaven face.

Stubble or clean-shaven. No more than that.

 

I really think the iconic look you speak to isn't as prevalent anymore. A mustache is more apt to be a goatee or a soul patch, and then that same person is accessorized the same way, in places like the Castro and the like. Both straight and gay men like goatees a lot today, and it seems to be the prevalent facial hair style on gay men today, from what I am able to casually observe.

The Village People mustache on that guy was gross. That is definitely an over the top gay mustache.

As for the first person shown in that link, he'd be hot whether then or now. I don't have a uniform thing and I find people wearing them as costumes to be campy. What's hot on fireman types, for instance, is the naturally thicker, hairier limbs that many have. I don't know if they wake up one day, look at their forearms, and decide to go to train to be a firefighter. As far as people, I don't find that I particularly enjoy knowing firefighters or law enforcement types based on who I've known who went into those lines of work. Why my Myers-Briggs lists L.E., law, and being a judge as typical occupations is perplexing. These are things I have never been drawn to.

 

I put it depends but I'm not good with anymore more than really short facial hair like stubble...

 

Why are the results hidden?

 

The fact that it reminds me of vintage gay pornography is everything that is wrong with it. A middle aged pornstar turned police officer, who snatches children in his free time. I know that men with lone mustaches must deplore that stereotype, but I just can't get past it.

However, if anyone feels as though they are killing the game in a porn-stache , then keep rocking that style and don't listen to anything that anyone has to say.

 

Nice facial hair can get me going.

... on a sexual/romantic attraction level though, I prefer guys who are clean shaven.

 

I like when guys have fluffy faces because they always remind me of fluffy ponies in the winter. Seriously, though. Some of the ponies get so fluffy it is insane.

 

Generally, I think facial hair is most attractive when it's shorter and it's on younger guys, but it depends on the person. Neck beards = no, for me at least, but again it depends on the guy.

 

You don't see it much any more. Men who have lone mustaches tend to be older and, sometimes, squarely middle aged. It does look dweeby on most but, on about 1 out of 15 or so, their overall look is hot and overrides or works fine with the mustache.

I think that a lot of it has to do with the "what was I thinking?" light bulb that goes on and makes people averse to antiquated trends. Say there's a good looking girl, just as an example, and most people would agree she looks good. If you changed her appearance and presented her in leg warmers and big hair, I'd bet some people would bristle and might not follow through on it! If she looked up to date, people unanimously would. I think it's sort of the same thing with men and lone mustaches.

I was once on a road trip with a friend, had worked out, and walked into a fast food place in the same parking lot. There was this late 30-something truck driver in line who had the lone mustache and the baseball player look who was glancing over skittishly and I thought, "Yep, I would not have a problem with that dude at all." He conveyed a lot of sexual energy and the porn stache did not matter. I got my food, got back in the car, and told my friend that I "saw a hot guy today" in the fast food place I just left.

 

Considering I am currently growing a beard, I voted "depends." Looks good on some guys...does not look good at all on girls

 

Clean-shaven or stubble. Mustaches, goatees, beards, soul patches... not so much.

 

It depends on the style and person. Some guys look good with facial hair, while it just looks wrong on others. Overall, though, I'm not a big fan of facial hair but I'm open-minded about it if it's someone I'm really into

 

This topic is old but I noticed that facial hair became rather popular during several last years and seems to be trendy again Besides I really like this style for men so can't not to add here a response :rolle:

In my opinion it highly depends on a certain person I adore the full beards like here 25 Trendy Beard Styles but in fact this style isn't good for every guy, sometimes it's better to be clean-shaven Especially when you can't grow a cool beard which unfortunately happens rather often
Personally I keep the patchy style like on this pic and I feel very cool with it :rolle:

 

I'm not a big fan of a huge beard on a guy, but some facial on a dude can be hot as hell.

 

Even though I hate having facial hair of myself I can totally appreciate a man with a beard.
