LGBT News Facebook "Pride" button not equally accessible

    It would be nice if it was accessable to everybody. The way I see it though, even having a pride button is a step in tge right direction. Now, if we could get facebook to drop that "real name" policy...

    You know you can just not use your real name. I do not use my actual name to sign up for anything. Come up with a suitable alias and you are free to go as you please.

    I use my first and middle name. But there were some that use this rule to get others facebook accounts shut down. On my more public facebook (the one that has my first and last name), somebody once reported it for having a fake name. I had to send them a picture of my Id before they would reopen the account. I was required to have it for school since I was in journalism school.

    Well whoever did that is really quite something. I have never had a problem using a false name on a face book account, nor have my friends who also use psuedonyms to my knowledge. But I will keep in mind that I can have people banned for false names in the future ;P
