    Hey everyone

So... at this time I'm pretty sure I'm gay. Great... not. But looks like I can't change it. We still don't know what causes homosexuality.

But can someone explain to me why between ages 8 - 14 I was exclusively attracted to women as a male both mentally and physically (mostly physically, except vagina)? I didn't even know gays existed or LGBTQ orientations existed at the time. And the attractions just came to me, they weren't forced

I know proooobably this is hella uncommon but what's the explanation for that?

Can't say I know the answer, but conditioning, maybe. It's the ringing of the bell to get someone to drool. Or the reward system kicking in, you get kick of dopamine for a sexual experience (masturbation or porn). Some people believe that their interest in the opposite sex was misplaced, because they didn't know or believe they could be with the same sex. Iow, there was a sexual or romantic need and they were trying to get fullfilled from something that will eventually leave them unsatisfied.

The other thing is 8-14 is still the development stage for sexuality. Some people don't experience sexual attraction until after this. It's still in the range of normal to not experience attraction until 17-18. Some people don't experience attraction until after 18 but often that is because of medical or psychological reasons. Everyone is different though.

So you may have been exposed to sexual content/experience before your sexual development was really ready for it, but you still felt arousal and formed a pattern which you continued for some years until it didn't work. Perhaps at that point your sexual development was more mature and you began to notice men.

    Just thoughts.
