 nooooo Miaaaaaaaa don't... :tears: 1500 is better!! You have a higher internal body temp so you burn more calories !!(this goes for all ladies MAAB). The 1200 was for rapid weight loss to curb other eating disorder/ body dismorphic problems! Not for everyday!!

There's a lot wrong with the BMI chart. First off, it doesn't take into consideration fat vs muscle. Two people with the same height and weight could look WORLDS apart. If you don't feel comfortable with your body, try weight-lifting and training a little more. Turn some of the extra fat into muscle.

But but but, I dunno. I like food too much to drop down to 1200. I'll give 1500 a go.
Living on Tesco Value noodles = 750 calories a day. I lost a lot of weight that way haha.

Well I wouldn't call it a disorder but usually I eat only one meal a day. Sometimes though I'll either graze all day or eat only crackers and water for 2-3 days. It just depends. People say I'm too small but I don't really believe them. (5'4"/117 lbs btw) I walk to and from school but that's only 5 minutes as I can literally see it from my window so I don't get very much exercise.

OK, I'm probably going to catch hell from Gates about this. But check out how Jessica Alba lost her baby weight after giving birth to her latest child. Not saying that the moms you're talking about did the same thing (although maybe they did), or that you're carrying baby weight (obviously), nor that it's the best way for you to reduce. But if one is really serious about reduction and if, for whatever reasons, regular exercise, strict dieting, or surgery are elusive to one's means, might be worth looking into.

I own I may be a bit "off", though, so take that for what it is... :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Calorie count for the day: 440

    Uh-oh :frowning2:

EDIT: Forgot to include ketchup I ate, so I guess... 470?

It may seem like a good idea now, but when you start eating normally, your metabolism will still be rock bottom, and you'll gain all of this weight back (in fat, not muscle).
Don't do this to your family, but most of all don't do this to yourself. It's good that you're noticing your habits now. You have time to STOP THEM.
If you continue down this path, your body will suffer from some permanent and dangerous side effects. It's not worth it, it really isn't.

Thanks, Tetra. I know you're right. I actually surprised myself by eating so little yesterday. Per Gates' advice, this was the first time I ever took inventory of my caloric intake during the day and it's maybe underscored for me that I do indeed have a problem. As soon as it opens, I'm running out to get breakfast at Chick-Fil-A, lol. (I have nothing to eat in the house.)

    Appreciate your concern. (*hug*)

Update: so far today, I've more than doubled my caloric intake from yesterday. (Also managed to dodge another massive coworker lunch, which always leaves me feeling bloated and fat afterwards and restarts the cycle.)

Shooting for a Subway combo for dinner, so think I'm going to meet my 1,400 goal.

Way to go! It's great that you're noticing it now, so you can stop if before it begins.

I switch between anorexia and binge eating. As soon as I came out, the eating disorder stopped until I learned I've gone up a cup size. Now I'm trying to starve away my breasts. I know it's bad, but I just can't stop :frowning2:.

Final count for the day: 1,520. Actually overdid it, lol. Admittedly needed the extra calories for energy, since I've been up since 2:30 this morning. Which spells a very soon adieu from me for the night. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Fell a little short of my goal today--1,180--but was feeling sick to my stomach this morning. Only able to pick at a light salad for lunch, for which I accidentally selected jalapeno ranch dressing. -.- My stomach hates me today, lol.

Calculating dinner I'm about to consume, I'm right at 1,250 for the day. Maybe a bit low, but have not been active today at all (sans typing fingers).

EDIT: I was at 1,410 yesterday, so met my goal then.

I'll admit it, prior to finally admitting what I had been atempting to hide for so long I overate quit frequently. I pretty much always had seconds at meals, snacked on all kinds of junk, and only stayed hydrated via soda (seriously, it was the only thing I drank). Since I stopped fighting myself so hard I have noticed a massive change in my eating habits. Now that's not to say that I still don't overeat at all, I do sometimes, but the frequency is waayy down.
