Hi guys. So umm basically I noticed three dots around my lip that are kinda odd. I haven't shaved for a while so its not a cut from shaving or scrape or w/e...I hope it's okay to post the image that I took. I circled what I'm talking about. You guys don't think any chance of herpes do you? I'll try see the doctor anyway, but I want to know if I can save a trip if I'm just being my usual hypochondriac self. Spoiler
As far as I can make out from the picture, the two top ones look like the start of standard white-head spots; are they raised? The bottom one looks like a papule. Have a look at http://www.acne.org/types-of-acne.html to see if they are a type of acne, it's hard to see from the picture. I think when you have cold sores / herpes, you get other symptoms like fever or swollen lymph glands, though I'm no expert. I'd wait for someone else to see what they make of them, though I don't think they're anything to worry about
Yeah, one of them (the one above the lip) is definitely a whitehead. The whitehead just formed today. It's basically like a pimple.
ok from my perspective they look like pimples, I know I get tiny ones around my mouth all the time, I wouldn't fret too much about it
