    You raise an interesting point. If we are near God level, why not keep ascending so you can gain a slice of godhood and create the world you consider ideal? Then wipe it out and try again with new settings as many times as you like, reverting time for each so no harm is done? As far as we can tell there is no natural order (save physical laws) than cannot be overcome by any means.
