I do. Perhaps I overthink it. When I take photos for profile pictures this can be especially annoying because it usually takes about twelve or more photos before I manage to capture one where I'm slightly smiling. The rest either look emotionless, slightly annoyed, or unimpressed. I try and think of happy things and channel that happiness to smile, but it can take a fair few attempts before I manage it.

Then I get asked "Why don't you smile more in photos?". Ugh.

I look horrible in pics and hate taking them. That's why I have trouble smiling for them.

I would have to ever take photos for that to be a problem haha - but yea I can't smile in pictures either. I've even tried the whole practicing in the mirror thing and it doesn't work.

Aww why deny the people around you your gift.

    In German 'gift' means 'poison.'

Oh my, then I meant it with the actual positive meaning of it.

It's just not aesthetically pleasing when I smile in a photo or in person. I actually consciously try to tone it down a bit now so I don't scare people off. I can get away with a half-smile and that's about it.

I can fake smile well in most pictures, but hate looking at my pictures because, shocker, it looks so fake to me.

My smile either looks fake or makes me look crazy. Either way it's better not to do it in pictures.

I really really dislike taking photos, but usually manage well forcing a fake smile.

I don't like looking at pictures of myself, because I'm overweight (obese to be exact) so full length pictures make me cringe. My profile pictures are mostly to the shoulders. I also take head-and-shoulder pics slightly from above, so you can't see my double chin *snickers* But in general, I don't have any problem smiling in pictures

I can’t stand seeing my smile in pictures so I usually don’t smile for them. I’ve never perfected the fake smile so I think that’s why.

I don't think I've smiled in a picture since, what, 2009? The best I can manage is "don't look like I want to slap the camera out of your hand" because I look like crap in any picture you take of me.

I find it hard to smile generally not because I'm unhappy but I just don't do it naturally. In photos I have to really concentrate to smile and sometimes when I do it still doesn't look like I am lol. But I can't do a wide smile cause I have bad teeth at the moment so it looks awful.

I can't smile for pictures. When I try to it always looks worse than if I don't try. Every time I pose for a picture the person taking it says "Smile, Mike." I tell them I am smiling. I also hate seeing myself in pictures.

I typically don't have much difficulty, but I find that I never smile with my teeth showing. That seems to be something I can't do.
