I tend to talk to my cat as a way of verbalizing my thoughts, "So Pandora, what are we going to have for dinner?" "What should we watch on the TV?" It's more like talking to myself, though, I suppose. Because she's going to have cat food and watch the leaves blow around outside.

Yes, all the time. I do it a lot when I'm studying. It helps me when I explain concepts to myself, like I would be explaining them to someone else. Because of my learning disability, things get all mixed up in my head and the only way to get them straight is if I vocalize it or I write it down. People may think I'm crazy, but let em. The crazy ones are the most fun XD

    All the time.

If I'm trying to figure something out, or if I'm working on something, I'll try and explain it too myself, to try and make it make sense.

Or if I'm alone, I'll talk to myself to try and get over the loneliness.

I do it.. I think to much and don't socialise very often. Myself is the best listener.

I do it all the time, every day. I replay old conversations and invent new ones, sometimes among myself or I pretend to talk to somebody else and predict what they say.
When I was under 10, I talked to myself out loud at normal conversational level, which is a little dangerous and almost got me in trouble once. Later on I learned to do it in my head, but now I whisper or mouth very quietly to myself, and people usually cannot understand what I am saying and I hope it stays that way. I'm trying to stop whispering to myself and only talk inside my head to prevent others from hearing my thoughts.

Yes, and I find it very healthy.

It usually begins in the morning, in front of the mirror:

    *looks in mirror*
    Me: Why, hello there, good-lookin'!
Me (in slightly different voice, speaking for my reflection): Oh, yooou~!

If I'm doing something, like lifting or running, then a self-pep talk is always assured. It can be something as fun as 'you got this!' to something as driven as 'get up and do it!'. Sometimes I'll make random observations, too, like how cute that fellow looks or how dumb that kid is for popping wheelies.

I'll practice speaking, in general or in front of a mirror, if I have some reason to be speaking. I used to do this before therapy sessions, or when in any public speaking courses, and I found it helped. It still does.

If I'm watching a movie, I may say something; similar to how somebody may laugh, I might say, "LOL wut?" or "The fuck?", but nothing excessive. With video games, I can give myself a pep-talk, especially if I'm getting smacked around. I find some of my funniest material stems from being slightly irked, because I can tap into my natural reservoir of anger healthily.

Sometimes when I meditate, I may recite or repeat something. Usually as a means of drawing extra attention to it, thus shifting the focus of thoughts and emotion to whatever that is.

And finally, when I have to do something, big or little, I always give myself a nice little pre-game talk, typically along the lines of:

"They don't know who you are -- but you do! You got this; you're going to blow 'em away!"

Sometimes the only one that can understand you is yourself so you can give yourself the best advice instead of people assuming shit and leaving you confused as all hell. I also like making fansties worlds to help me with my creative process. Plus I like talking to myself makes playing alone more fun.

Not loudly, but hushed and low. That's my "everyday what will you forget" voice. I am incredibly absent-minded. Even if I make a note to myself, I forget I ever wrote said note.

Now when I feel pensive and philosophical, my intellectual voice breaks out over loudly because I need to hear the complex thoughts that possess my mind. I get spirited and emotional when I feel I am on the glorious cusps of a mental breakthrough. This is also my commanding voice in life threatening adrenalin inducing decisions.
"Silly human! What's that voice inside your head? It's me, an old friend".....I catch myself occasionally and laugh manically.
