Do you enjoy alcohol?

I enjoy drinking a glass of nice red wine with dinner occasionally, and now and then I have a beer or a cider when I'm on my own. But I never drink to get drunk. The drunkest I have ever been was when I was having G & Ts with my mum one evening. She was too generous with the G side of it and I ended up laughing at everything, sending a few incoherent messages to people, and then falling asleep cuddled up to my mum on the sofa. I still felt tipsy the next morning. I do not plan on ever getting that drunk again.

 

Alcohol in general? No. I like specific drinks, in specific ways, in specific situations.

The only times when I would drink just about anything for the sake of drinking anything are when I'm bored out of my skull and can't get off the situation, like in a wedding or something just as boring.

I've not been drunk for a few years though.

 

Yes I do enjoy it. I can go for weeks without having any drinks but there are weekends when the night between friday and monday can get very liquidy.

I drink ciders, sparkling wine, red and white wine and shots. Don't like any sorts of fancy coctails though, I keep it simple. Oh summertime is nearly here, gonna picnic the whole summer with friends outdoors. Nothing better than having drinks in park with good company!

 

No. I've been drunk maybe twice in my 35 years.
My parents are alcoholics. I don't want to go down that path!

 

I did when I was younger, but I always had a high tolerance and a bad stomach... I get sick before I get drunk, so I just stopped drinking. I don't really see the upside to it, but I guess I'm lame XD;;;

 

If I were to run this poll, my poll question would have been " How much do you enjoy alcohol?" .

My options would be

1) Very

2) Mostly

3) Somewhat

4) Not at all.

5) Never had alcohol.





To answer the OP's question.

I've had alcohol five times in my life and I'm forty.

I've had on average less than half a cup each time.

I personally think that beer taste like piss. :eek:

I usually only drink alcohol when I'm at parties and decide that I want to give into the peer pressure to have some alcohol.

 

I used to but I can't drink any more for medical reasons. I don't miss it though.
