Do any of you have jobs?

Still waiting for my dream job of Jennifer Lawrence's (otherwise gay) trophy husband, so while I wait I work for a staffing agency that mostly works in the tech field

 

Is that as not fun as it sounds?

 

I'm a full-time student, but I also work for my university's ITS (Information tech. services) department during the school year.

 

Local government.

Teaching isn't for everyone, but it's where I feel most comfortable.

 

No, you didn't make it sound not fun. I'm glad you enjoy it. I just can't imagine teaching high schoolers to be very fun. It's good that you enjoy it though.

 

I'm tutoring college students over the summer, but before I was working on my dissertation I taught English at the University level. Now I'm trying to find permanent employment, which is not as easy as it sounds...

 

Thanks Yeah, teaching high school isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I prefer it to teaching little kiddos. I can't imaging teaching elementary haha. Little kids are cute, but they drive me a little crazy haha. Plus, I like teaching just one subject; with elementary, I would have to teach all subjects (which I'm not good at doing). Math is not my bag, but I can teach English all day.

 

I build trains.
more specifically, I produce electrical wiring for trains. I'm mostly responsible for doors, lights, brakes and wi-fi (not sure why, but it's a funny thing to do).
I'm a blue-collar worker, so it's me who does all these funny things with cables, like assembling plugs and connectors and all these things. thanks to this I know how to make d-sub connectors from zero.
before this, I used to build control cabinets, also for trains, but I didn't like it as much as I like my current job. my learnt profession is IT technician, and surprisingly it's very useful in my job

 

Duuuuude that sounds like the coolest job in the world.

Personally, I hope to do something like this, but with rockets instead of trains.

That's an interesting job you have! Awesome! I rarely go to a hardware store or an auto store, but when I do, it's like stepping in disney land for the first time

 

I'm a software developer

 

I am a Credit Manager for a farm co-op. Most of my day is spent trying to get people to pay their bills...

 

That sounds stressful!

 

There are days for sure! Most of the time people are great and I am more than willing to work with them and help any way I can. Then there are the people that call from the casino and want me to write off their balance...
