I was writing in my journal today and the first sentence says “I’m gay”. I’m freaking out because I left my journal open in the dining table and forgot about it because I got a call. The next thing I know, my dad was sitting right in the dining table where I left
My journal. I am so worried because I don’t know if he read it and knows now. I am so anxious right now. I need help to calm myself down. Any tips guys?

So what happens if he did see what you wrote? It sounds like you are confident in who you are by writing those two words. Coming out is scary. I was 46 years old before I could say the word bisexual about myself, even longer before I could say it without looking at the floor.

My advice is to chill and take things one step at a time. A lot depends on your age. Are you a minor? Your parents should be taking care of you until you are 18. Would they be accepting if they did see what you wrote? If you are near the age of 18 or over and they are not accepting do you have a plan on where to live?

    Two scenarios:
    1) He didn't see it. My dad can be so oblivious that if I can honestly see him not noticing stuff like that. I'm not sure if your's is similar in that regard.

    2) He saw it. Since he didn't say anything right away (at all or in a negative way), I would take that as a good thing. It could mean that he knows but is letting you come out on your terms, or thinking about the proper way to go about things. Even if his immediate response isn't waving his pride flag, taking a little bit of time to think of what he is going to say to you can is good.

Has he said anything in the past to make you feel like he'd have a opinion one way or another?
