Since it's Pride month, are you planning anything special or are you going to celebrate by yourself? For me, since there's nothing going on where I live, I guess I'll celebrate it here on EC with you guys.
We have a two day festival--we'll go to one day of it. Then the next weekend we have the parade. We'll have people over for brunch, hit the parade and then go to a BBQ. I always look forward to the parade.
Pride month isn't really an Australian custom, so no. It also comes in the middle of exams so that wasn't exactly conducive to doing anything in a small group, either.
My husband and I will be manning a booth at our local Pride event for an hour or so and will probably hang out a bit there before and after. We will probably take a turn through the Pride festival (ours takes place in a park on the river) and then go on with our normal weekend routine. Todd
I'll be working during all of the events here. So, I'm just going to spam the hell out of facebook with the pride react...lol
It's going to be 102° F the day my town has its (outdoor) pride festival, so I'm going to stay home and not get heat stroke that day lol.
I've just ordered myself a Pride wristband off Amazon, which I'll be wearing. I might be going to Norwich Pride so that'll be nice.
No, because nobody around here does anything for Pride. I live in a rural-ass county in a town of less than 1,000, and let's just say I found out during the recent election that people around here aren't the types that would do any Pride stuff, anyways. So maybe I'll do something with my art like I did two years ago. Aw, did I miss "Asexual Pride" day? Oh, well, today's my day, too, and so is the 30th, so there's that.
There's a parade in my town on Friday, but I can't make it so some of my friends and I are going to the festival on Saturday.
Probably not. I'm not an event person. May discuss matters with friends, but overall it doesn't concern me much.
Going to be in Toronto for it. I may check out the parade / festival grounds, but I'm in town to visit friends and see concerts.
I'll be at work during my city's pride parade, so really I'm just wearing my pride hat around town, and that's the extent of my celebrating.
