As Dave said theres only 4 moderators (alot of Admins but they don't come here anymore) If anything I think the forum would be safer with alot more moderators.

I think thats fair, do you want this place un-comfortable for people younger than you? Or what if you're parents walked in and you were reading a thread about something inappropriate, it would be alot worse than reading something helpful.

 

I agree with Tom....imagine being a 13 year old kid (im not sure how young people are who come here....but im pretty sure weve had 13 year olds before), unsure of your sexuality and needing advice or someone to talk to, and when you come here there are just people just talking about sex and stuff that should be kept to over 18 people...or at least people who feel comfortable with that stuf...and since im sure that not everyone here is comfortable with rampant discussions of graphic sex, i think we should keep it appropriate for a G rated audience....

im not entirely sure if that made sense, but the crux of my point is that this place is designed for younger people (as well as older people) who need help, and if we let too much mature/adult stuff slip past, it will just become ###, and there would be no point in that.

It made perfect sense Dave. This site is great for what it 'isn't' as well as for what it is! I'm not sure there is another forum like this on the entire world wide web - but I know for a fact there are LOTS out there that have explicit sexual content that isn't appropriate for minors.

So the care that is given to ensure this site remains positive and appropriate is worth it. And remember that it's all done on a volunteer basis too.
