if u think this would help u could do that. or u could try telling ur friend "i'm actually serious." and keep telling him this until he gets it. it all depends on how u think they will react and who u feel comftorable telling.

I think it is important u still make the decision yourself. I think that it's best to only come out 2 ppl that u feel the most comfortable doing that with. If he thinks it's a big joke I wouldn't bother trying 2 explain it 2 him, because i knew someone who said those kind of jokes 2 their friend and they were in complete denial when they actually came out. I don't think the choice should be between ur friend and ur Mom, I think u should just come out 2 someone you at least trust enough that whateva happened they'd still b loyal. hope that helps

If your friend keeps bringing it up he may be trying to help you take the step that you are hesitating to take.

As for who you tell first, I don't think it really matters, you mum isn't going to be hurt that she wasn't the first person in the world to know, she would be rightly mad if she were the last but that's not going to happen... right?

If your friend brings it up you could go serious and ask him why he keeps saying that, then depending on his answer ask him if it would bother him if you were and go from there.

If your friend takes it well it will give you someone to discuss coming out to your mum with and when you do come out to your mum, someone to share it with 'live' as it were. Of course we are here but its not quite the same.

Damn thats some good advice! I wish I had thought of that earlier.

Well thats good to hear about the outcome, some people act differently about their orientation, some are homophobic some are quiet and some ask people if they're gay. (I have quite a few people that ask me too haha, I wonder if they are?)

Good for you, I am really pleased. Has your friend bought up the subject again?
