Been taking a break from Beetho-mania by listening to some of Domenico Scarlatti's keyboard sonatas. Listened to a number of them on YouTube several years ago and happened to come across a number of recordings on Grooveshark by Scott Ross [whose performances I liked.]

I've been into music since I was 5 or so, learned piano for 10 years. I'm not a total fan of Classical music, but do have some favourites that I listen/play from time to time, as a mean of relaction.

All time favourite that I can't stop listening from time to time :3

Really want to get into Haydn's music today. I've listened to some of his work, but for some reason am never left with a strong impression. :icon_sad:

A little something I found on Tumblr, and it's hilariously accurate.

Listening to Haydn's Symphony No. 31 'Hornsignal' again after discovering it last night. Love it.

Here's a documentary about Johann Sebastian Bach I'm currently watching. If anyone's interested.

Listening to Mozart's Symphony No. 41 'Jupiter' right now and am loving it. Though can't help the feeling he got 'lost' somewhere in the final movement, so to speak....

I haven't had much time recently, but I did manage to listen to Dvorak's Violin Concerto op. 53 and Sibelius' Pohjola's Daugther op. 49.

Haha, that's brilliant! Thanks for sharing.

I could say the same about the last two (or so) minutes of Beethoven's 5th final movement

To clarify things, I meant that as a compliment to Mozart's symphony.

Is anyone a fan of Jessye Norman here? I've absolutely fallen in love with her voice and can't get enough of her recordings.

She's wonderful...beautiful Aida...but I do prefer Leontyne Price...her Madama Butterfly is perfection. Been listening to Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A.

Mark Isham and Hans Zimmer! They're more soundtrack/ambiance but also classical.

One of my favorites of Bach's compositions. The opening chorus of his St. John Passion:

Didn't hear it prior to listening to it just now. It is a nice composition. Enjoyed listening to it.
