You can be gay and just friends, it doesn't have to lead to more. Admittedly, some gay friendships include sex, but it can complicate things an awful lot when you go down that route. Gay men friends tend to be more affectionate and will often part with a hug and kiss - that's fairly common and not to be worried about, but there's a difference between a friendly hug/kiss and taking things to the next level. That shouldn't happen unless you both want it to.
