She did a rap song with T-Pain a few years ago, called Thug Story. It's pretty funny!

Yes!! She could definitely pull off any genre. She's a very talented musician! I have so much respect for her as a musician and as a person!

Finally listened to 1989 tonight and I just loved all of it. Her voice is just so beautiful and lovely. There's not really a single bad song in the album, it's just flawless.

What's everyone's favourite Taylor Swift song?

In other T Swift news, anyone else saw all of her songs pulled from Spotify? :frowning2:

Favourite song of hers ever? An unreleased song called My Cure. I'm glad she pulled her music, people should be buying the actual cd. Anyone can just download a song. A physical copy is more personal. Connected to the artist.

The year? It was a pretty difficult time. Bad recession, lots of anti-gay sentiment, AIDS crisis in full tilt, evil Bush president. Not a good time to be a minority.

    Does the album cover this?

Yeah I thought NY would've been one of the first places she'd come to (especially now that she's the welcome ambassador for NYC!) She is coming here in December for a different show but tickets for that sold out long ago :/

I own all three of her other albums but have yet to get 1989. I would guess that it might show up for Christmas, though, since that's what happened with Red. I haven't heard any of her recent music, actually. I should probably catch up on that.

I had been looking at this thread for a while now, and thought "who wants to discuss…the year 1989?"
So right now I'm listening to 'out of the woods' and just had an Awha moment. Ts the name of the album, and I knew that too but I was putting it in the wrong context! So I love two of the songs on there which are 'out of the woods' and I absolutely looove 'shake it off'! I don't know many other songs on the album but I know I really like those two songs! I watched her concert in Times Square and wow was he good haha
