I have another session with her tomorrow and I’ll bring that up. We’ve not really discussed medication before other than my mentioning what I’m already taking for generalized anxiety disorder.

What’s tricky is that I can relate to certain things here shared by other posters who’ve discovered and come to terms with their homosexuality, primarily the loss of attraction to cisgender women and the ability to fantasize and masturbate to/about certain sex acts without them being connected to a man, hence the feeling of being in denial. The arousal thing throws me off but so do some of the thoughts I have regardless of the lack of arousal. It just feels like the pieces are there but I’m just waiting for the dots to connect. At a certain point, one has to question how they can fantasize about certain sex acts, feel/think they’re attracted to men, despite the lack of corresponding arousal, and not be gay, especially when the consensus is that pornography isn’t a reliable indicator of orientation.

The therapist I was seeing prior to my seeing the OCD therapist put me in touch with her boss whose focus is sex therapy. I’ve met with her a few times. I know seeing multiple therapists can be dicey but whatever my circumstances are, I know I can’t keep living in this state of confusion, anxiety, and depression.
