Does anyone know the best places to go in Europe where people are predominantly gay. Ie I could go around dressed as I wanted without people battering an eyelid. Obviously I have Brighton in England but would prefer to go somewhere warmer
Apparently Mykonos in Greece is the best place to go. It'd be great to be able to walk around dressed as I please without fear of getting beaten up lol
I've never been to Mykonos or Gran Canaria, but I've heard that they are very good places to go for LGBTQ+ people. If you visit Madrid, even though there are some LGBTQ+ haters there, there is a borough which is called Chueca. It's the LGBTQ+ neighbourhood in Madrid. I don't know in the rest of Europe, though.
It has a colder climate than Greece, but I would recommend Berlin for starters. There's already ton of gay-based stereotypes about Germany and it only gets ever more visible there. People there don't usually care what you wear. I've seen a lot of people in the most unimaginable things to me (I live in a more conservative region), and see no one making a deal about it. Berlin is definitely on the chilly side but very lgbt-positive, especially if you visit the alternative neighborhoods.
I would second Berlin and Madrid. A friend of mine lives in Berlin and during a visit he showed me around making sure to point out the lgbtq+ spaces and places. Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Antwerp and Brussels would also be up there for me based on what I have read about them in terms of inclusivity and openness.
I would recommend Barcelona and especially the Eixample neighborhood. I see a lot if transgender people here, which is encouraging for my own current transition (mtf). I moved here from Oslo in Norway, but its very free there too (but one could run into fascists on rare occation, which is dangerous). Also, my tip is train ju jitsu. All who fought for their freedom in the past had the risk of some shady people sending hooligans to rough them up. The female vote and the sufragettes had this problem and those feminists solved that by training ju jitsu. Sending you all lots of love.

They've all been mentioned. Mykonos, Ibiza, and Gran Canaria for warm and sunny. Berlin and Amsterdam for big cities with a lot of options.
