    The sports world is very masculine and macho, and it’s a tough place to navigate for anyone who’s gay. Hockey is the most progressive so far, but there’s a long way to go. I think it will be a long time before an active player comes out because once that happens, you become a novelty. That will be the only thing people remember you for.
