I've been in a relationship with a guy for the last 3 months and we've spent most of the time together. Now, he's out of the country for exams for a few weeks and we miss each other a lot. I've had long distance relationships in the past and it never felt this bad, I guess cause we got used to see each other every day and sleep together. I've tried to keep my mind distracted but it's not easy and some days I feel pretty down, even though it's just one week left and I know I'll see him soon. It also seems to be affecting his performance and I feel somewhat guilty for it. Do you think there's something we could do to help the situation?
Hey metalhead, Could the two of you talk via Skype at least a couple of days between now and when he returns home?
If there's only a week left to go, I don't know if there is much else you can really do. For yourself, it might not have been a bad idea to engage in some specific activity (sports, crafts, cooking class, etc) while he was gone. But, of course, he's almost ready to return home now.
I've spent most of these days out with a friend and that seemed to help more than videogames or that kind of stuff. Anyway I feel much better now that it's only 3 more days
