NO DRUGS! Eat a banana or two in the car on the way there. The potassium will regulate your heartbeat and lower your blood pressure, making you calmer and more at ease. I always do that before concerts and recitals, as well as interviews, and I think it really helps, even if it's just the ritual.

I agree :eusa_clap . If I didn't go, my boyfriend would be pissed and I would probably imbibe in too much Christmas cheer, feeling sorry for myself.

I'm definitely going, and I'm going to have fun. Buys bananas and stops at German drug store to ask for Rescue Remedy.

Just an update on how things went.

As most of you said, I had nothing to worry about. I had a great time and was made to feel totally at home, all warm and fuzzy inside. We won the kids over (nephews aged 3 & 5) with Sponge Bob Lego toys that cost a small fortune and come in a million pieces  . Turkey dinner was fantastic and we had fun playing board and card games. All in all, a very nice Christmas. :icon_bigg

Our "Rescue Remedy" turned out to be beer which worked out fine.

And the Sponge Bob Lego stuff is for kids 7-12. Did somebody lie on their profile?

He thought it went very well. He only planned to stay a couple of hours but we were there like 8 hours +. Yeah, it does bring you closer. It's a very high level of trust when you get to know your boyfriend's family so intimately. Very cool.:icon_cool

Wow, didn't know there were so many Lego fans. :icon_bigg
