Well, I just checked my stats and my average posts per day is 2.48, the lst time I check it was 2.24... This made me laugh because the volume of one mole of gas in litres at SATP is 24.8 and at STP, 22.4 I am such a nerd, lol. Had to share...
Awesome! Well if you're a nerd, I must be an even bigger one coz the first thing that popped into mind was "ok, so the difference btw SATP and STP is 25 Kelvins, right?" Guess five years in uni for chem has really paid off! Just some chemistry humour I always find helps me cheer up (for these of you who are down): If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate! .... Q: Why do chemists call helium, curium and barium the medical elements? A: Because if you can't helium or curium, you barium! .... Q: What's the difference between Chemistry and cooking? A: In Chemistry, you should never lick the spoon. .... Two atoms are walking down the street. Says one atom to the other, "Hey! I think I lost an electron!" The other says, "Are you sure??" "Yes, I'm positive!"
THE LAST ONE is totally hilarious! but you so have to be a chem student to know that... or physics LOL
I'm taking chem 30 right now, all my friends are in 20 though so I'm the "go-to" person for all of them, it's funny. We are just starting organic chemistry. Yes, the difference is 25 Kelvin, and 25 degrees C. I love the jokes!!! They are all so funny.
Ugh...chemistry makes me shutter. Here's my take on it..."How many moles of bullshit are in one liter of chemistry." My chem teacher in high school was ridiculous. Made me hate it. I was lucky that i finished with a C. All my tests were D's. My final exam was a D-. The only reason I passed with a C is because I did my homework.
