    Well. I have some good news and some bad news.

    She recently contacted me to let me know that whilst she sees potential for a friendship, she doesn't see it going further than that and didn't want to string me along.

    I said that I suspected as much but that I'd still like to be friends.

    This has been something of a learning experience. I think something that I need to work on, for potential future dates with someone else, is being more forward and actually conveying interest. Of course, whilst still remaining respectful. This is going to be tricky as it's not something that I am used to.

    It is true that I suspected she may feel this way. The vibe wasn't quite there.

    It’s great that you can see the positives in it as well. Sometimes these things aren’t meant to beand it doesn’t mean anyone did anything wrong. I am sure you will be great next time too.
