Are you employed?

I'm very much freelance right now. I don't have an official job yet (I might within the next week or so), but right now I've been told more editing work is coming my way.

 

I'm technically old enough for a job, but my mom is trying to move us somewhere else, so I have to wait until the situation stabilizes until I can start looking.

 

I'm unemployed at the moment.

I was made redundant in June 2014 after 6 years at that job, but I've been off sick because of illness. But as I have got much better over the last couple weeks, I plan to start the job search again very soon.

 

Currently working as an architectural assistant, however I've just applied for a job to be a construction planner and coordinator with a well known building contractors! Fingers crossed!

 

I forgot to mention the 2 summers I worked at a kiddee park in Chicago when I was in high school. I learned more about "life" there from those carneys (carnival workers) and a certain fondly remembered older guy than anywhere else.
I also plowed snow for 13 years starting in '86. I bought the truck and plow to do my own lot and loading dock. Neighboring business owners asked me to do their lots too and it grew from there. Good money but hard on the truck.
When business got slow around 2001 I took a part time job in another factory. I worked there in the morning and went to my shop in the afternoon. I worked there about 3 years. I kept the job after business picked up because I really liked the job and my co-workers. They got in to financial trouble and laid off many of their workers including me. No big deal for me but I felt bad for the others. Many of them were older and had worked there since high school. They had no other skills and lost their health insurance along with their job.

 

I work in a shitty supermarket.

 

I work at a builders trade yard been hear 5 years love my job .

 

Other... although, I guess "student" is just a fancy word for "unemployed" ^_^;;

 

currently underemployed as a vital records clerk.

 

Thankfully employed. I write/do PR for a trade association. It's kinda corporate, but grad school was expensive and someone's gotta pay the bills... Definitely am not complaining though - a job's a job!

Yes. I'm a .NET programmer for a state government agency.

I'm trying to transition out of this and into either penetration testing or computer forensics.

Yes I am employed I work for a call center for enterprise. Actually there a quite a few lgbt people who are employed there

 

I work as a content writer. Pretty good fit for me, actually.

 

Was employed, new homophobic manager came along and I was let go, they will find a way so now I am desperately searching for new full time work or business.
