It took the few problems with Diamond and Pearl, and fixed them. Two notable fixes are, the game speed, and the inclusion of more Fire-type Poke'mon. It moves much faster than in Diamond and Pearl, first of all. Secondly, in Diamond/Pearl, if you did not pick Chimchar as your Starter, your only other option for a Fire-type Poke'mon (outside of trading/transferring) was a Ponyta. Also, Flint of the Elite Four, gets a better themed team in Platinum. In Diamond/Pearl, he hardly has any Fire-types, despite being a so-called Fire-type master.

Technically, yes. Because it includes some, that aren't available in Diamond or Pearl.

Yeah I still play sometimes I don't have too much time but I sometimes go back to playing mostly Black 2 and I love it.

Thank You! It's my least favourite. It seems like they tried too hard to make it different, and the storyline...ugh...

Of course I still play them. I even still play Diamond every once in a while, and it's 7 years old now :eek:! I find it harder to play anything older than that since the special/physical split.

 

If you folks want a good story, try playing Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky. The gameplay can be kind of tough at times, but the plot is amazing. Most people – even guys – cry at the ending. I know I did.
Besides that, I love SoulSilver as my favourite main series game and I plan on buying Omega Ruby.

 

I have sapphire for my DS and I'm borrowing Heartgold from a friend.
I hope to get a 3DS XL at some point then get X and Omega Ruby (When it comes out)

Also, my very first game was pearl.
Probably the best game on my DS. Ever. Full Stop.

 

Have been playing Pokemon since the first Game Boy Color edition came. Started with Pokemon Yellow (a marvelous game!) and have played silver and saphire after that. Now I'm considering buying X/Y for my 2DS. That will take me back to my childhood-years I hope! :')

 

I'm playing Pokemon: Leaf Green on my PSP, I wanted to buy GameBoy just to play it, but seems no one in my country is selling working one... :'(

I need to get my hands on X & Y, I hope one day it will happen...
