    This has been an interesting read...

    First, for those of you still in highschool, no need to fret. Having sex doesn't make you cool or more adult or whatever. So wait til you find somebody worth going that far with.

    As for me, I'm 27 and never so much as gone on a date. I'd love to say its cause I was waiting for the right person but truth is nobody was interested in dating me. That's all changed as I'm seeing a wonderful amazing woman online...still haven't had that first date, kiss etc though....but looking forward to it all n am so glad it will be with her!

    I do believe there is a certain reverence for that first experience...there's the nerves, excitement, and anticipation that's not quite the same after...while I agree being a virgin or not shouldn't really matter to other people, its still something to treat with respect, by ones self.

    I used to think that I was the only 20-something year old guy who is still virgin and that it is something embarrassing.

    Future crazy cat lady, right here. Never been in a romantic or sexual relationship, and never hugged/kissed/cuddled anyone in a non-platonic way. The closest I've ever been to sex is masturbation, but some babies and children also do that, so I don't think that counts (if it did, nobody would know for sure if they are virginal as babies and young kids don't remember everything).

    Like Hex said, the term "virgin" is very subjective and might as well be invalid. People like to bash rape victims as "impure," yet people who willingly have any kind of non-PIV sex are still seen as pure, innocent, angels. It's a fucked up concept, really, and I only label myself "virgin" for lack of a better word.

    I agree. I wouldn't count masturbation or else there would be no virgins, but I think if you do oral you're not. Kids don't do it and you can prevent yourself from doing it if you use self-control so I don't know why people say 'If it counted there would be no virgins'. BULL. SHIT.

    I am too. I went to a religious all-girls school and was forbidden from talking to boys. I know I'm into girls tho I've only ever kissed one. But idk if I cud b bisexual because I've barely interacted with guys in my life.

    Im 30 and a virgin. No kissing or anything. Ive had alot of badluck getting a date since i started looking. When the topic of last relationship or sex comes up and they hear my answer well lets just say my virtue is also a curse. But if they were right for me they wouldnt treat me like im cursed to begin with.
