Recently bought a copy of "Punk goes Pop Volume 5" and realized I really enjoy that kind of music. I've been looking around, and found one band called "Falling in Reverse"- holy crap I love these guys! I seem to be migrating from darker rap and heavy rock over to popular punk style. Seeing as how I don't know what I'm talking about and my taste in music is weird, any band suggestions with a similar noise would be appreciated.

Things I like recently: Dope, Falling In Reverse. Motionless in White, Creature Feature, His Infernal Majesty

Is this the punk genre? lmao

You can put those artists into Pandora and it'll give you similar songs and groups. I found majority of my favorite artists on there.

Of the bands you mentioned that I recognize, I don't think I'd call any of them punk. I've heard Dope described as nu metal, and what little I've heard of His Infernal Majesty I would call alternative metal.

Here's another good website for finding new bands:
    TuneGlue° | Relationship Explorer

Type in the name of a band and hit enter, click the little circle that shows up, click "expand", and you'll get similar bands.

Damn, you got there first. I was going to link TuneGlue. Praise Vsauce for introducing me to that website.

HIM and Dope are pretty sweet. I would definitely call Dope a metal band and HIM is definitely gothic metal.
