Wouldn't it make more sense if, by default, replies within this section and subsections of the forum would default to anon mode as well?
If you mean within the Anonymous Discussions section, they already do. This is the default setting when you reply to any thread within the Anonymous Discussions. If you wanna post under your own username, you have to go out of your way to uncheck that option.
Didn't seem to work that way for me in the Anonymous Physical and Sexual Health subforum a few min. ago.
That's odd. Could be a bug. I just checked and the default in those sub-forums is still Anonymous to me.
Just tried a few things - the "post reply" is anon by default, but the "quick reply" is not (doesn't give you the option actually, other than suppressing a sig)... So to any staff reading this, the suggestion/request is to have the quick reply work in anon mode when a user is replying to a post in an anonymous discussion thread/subforum.
Oh, now I see what you are saying. Fair enough. On the plus side, if you accidentally post something under your own username, you can always immediately delete it within the editing options.
Hi there! It would be nice for quick replies to default to anonymous, but because we're currently in the process of preparing our new forum software we're not spending time on small, non-critical updates to the current platform. Thanks for the suggestion, nonetheless!
