I mostly watch subs, but I find FMA Brotherhood and Baccano to have superior dubs.

I think in general for me it's this, combined with when I watch foreign live action material, the poor/nonexistant syncronization between the mouth moving and the sound has left a sour taste in my mouth for dubs even before watching anime.

I'm completely fine with either, though when buying an anime I looked for dubbed versions first since I watch them with my dyslexic friend who sometimes has problems keeping up with subs.

Subbed! Definitely! I often find that the dubbed versions have really annoying voices... I'm not really sure what it is, but they often (not always...) grate on my nerves. I also really like hearing the original language being spoken in the background, especially if it's Japanese - it helps with my language skills and sounds way better x

I don't mind dubbed, but to me subbed seems hands down better. I don't like how they cut out stuff to make it more "kid friendly" in dubs (like Uranus and Neptune in Sailor Moon suddenly becoming 'cousins').

Depends on the studio. Some studios do really good dubs. Some I can do without.

Depends on how lazy I am at the moment I begin to watch lol. Although I'd much rather watch it subbed, many times I find the dubbed voice a pain in the ass and sound way too "americanized".. I mean come on..after-all anime is a Japanese thing.. If I wanted to watch cartoon crap I'd watch Disney.!

 Hmm subtitles but if I can't find with subtitles then I'd watch dubbed, but I prefer subtitles. :rolle:

I'm not picky in the subs vs dubs battle honestly. I don't really care. However, I prefer dubs, especially if it's good. Especially if it's one full of action that can take away from subtitles. However, I'm not opposed to subs at all, but it can sometimes distract me from a scene (ex: I spent most of my time keeping my eyes on the subtitles that I missed most of the action while watching Trigun).

Subtitles all the way, I'd be more inclined to change my answer if they had better english voice actors...

I prefer dubbed. When they speak in a language you understand you relate more with the character.

This. I actually really like some of them. Death Note was well-done, IMO. As were FMA and Ouran. Fruits Basket (mainly Jerry Jewell) made me want to gouge out my eyes.

Troy Baker, Crispin Freeman. Love their voice work.

Oh yeah, studios are another big one. Typically I overlook it, but if a friend tells me a notoriously bad studio touched it, I'll look for the subbed version.

    SUBS.
For the most part. Especially for newer anime like Oreimo and Attack on Titan. I just can't see either of those being dubbed well.
I do like dubbed anime from the 90's and early 2000's though (Marmalade Boy, Kare Kano, Princess Tutu, Angelic Layer).

Dubbed. Sometimes I just can't be arsed reading and just want to chill and watch.
