Age you started drinking alcohol?

I also didn't start until I was 21.

It was mostly because I was really paranoid about breaking the law or getting someone else in trouble. Even now I say I wouldn't say I "drink". Like, if I'm at a party or something, I might have one, but I don't go out, by a six pack, and down it in a night. Now that I think about it, I haven't drunk alcohol in over a year...

 

I think my first ever alcoholic drink was at about 13. I didn't start drinking casually until about 15/16 though. In all honesty, I think that's the reason why I'm good at holding my drink nowadays - I know my limits.

 

I started at 21, but didn't drink regularly until 22. Now look how far I've gotten

 

The drinking age is lower in most of the world. And the penalties are lower. And honestly, no one really cares about underage drinking.

I probably started drinking alcohol at around 13/14 under my parents supervision. It wasn't until I was 16 when house parties became popular and everyone's main aim was to get slaughtered! Oh how silly we all were!

Well, I've seen enough with my family's history of alcoholism to know to never let it get to that level.

from the age of 10 I was allowed a glass of beer now and again at 15 I was drinking in the park with my mates mum&dad were didnt know .

Think I was 16 maybe 15 when I first properly got drunk. Nobody cares in France, and even 3 years ago nobody cared in the arse end of nowhere. In that short space of time, that's changed to some extent for my younger siblings.

 

Well, I turned 21 this week so now I'm legal. I'm not particularly interested so I'm not going to make an event out of it. Maybe I'll try a drink sometime this year, but it depends on if the situation arises.

 

With any regularity, just this last year. (I'm 37.) Would have the occasional beer or liquor when I was younger. Now I try to get some degree of drunk almost every day. (Self-medicating ftw!)

 

I was 19 when I had my first drink. I shared a Jack Daniels Downhome Punch with this creepy dude at a frat party. I remember on my 21st birthday, I went to a restaurant, and I swear, as soon as they found out, they had me sample everything the bartender could make. :lol:
