A few?

I always took it to mean two.

 

Generally 3 but it's situational

 

Depends. 3 to 5 usually. For example I might have a drinks often means 3 to me, maybe 4. It's always more than two to me. The 'A few', not the drinks. Interesting how perceptions vary!

 

Between three and six, really. More if it's my dad saying it. But the point of it is that it isn't specific.

 

To me, 'a few' is always more than two. Two is 'a couple'.

 

I take "A couple" to mean from 2-4, but generally 2.
"A few" to me means 5-9, but generally 7

 

I usually tjink 3-4. A couple is 2. But I said 4-6

2 is a couple
3-4 is a few
5-7 is several
7-10 is many

I honestly don't know why but I have thought this out a lot in the past

 

A few is 2 or 3 that's it, a few can be a couple and vice versa.

People never use any word but ONE when they are asking for ONE thing, or they us A or AN. A few implies more than one.

 

One is one, two is a couple, 3-6 is a few, and more than 6 is several.

 

Voted "depends" because it does. But generally, I classify it as 3-5. Two is a couple, and 6 is a half-dozen.

To me, a few usually means about 3 to 5.

 

To me it has always meant 3-4.

 

It really depends, like if talking about how much candy someone bought i would assume 3-5 but if we were talking about how many dvd someone had and they said a few i would assume 7+
